Assistant Manager, Digital Marketing

Scoot is looking for a Social Media Assistant Manager. You will be part of the digital marketing team, providing your expertise in the social media and brand spectrum. You will create inspiring stories and always-on content to the Scoot community also will be responsible for developing social as a core pillar for Scoot’s marketing strategy.

Success in this role means creating and delivering creative content and social campaigns and managing the local community managers to ensure highly relevant content and timely campaign rollout that maximize audience reach, engagement and conversions.

This role reports to the Digital Marketing Manager and you will work very closely with the digital marketing, market development and product and ancillary team.

 

Social Media Strategy/Social Media Content

  • Drive and deliver the social media content and campaigns in line with the Global Social Media strategy and local business objectives.
  • Devise and develop integrated social media content for always on, campaigns and other strategic initiatives for the company’s social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LINE, WeChat, Weibo) including supervision of content creation where required (eg. video production).
  • Evaluate the day-to-day social media content and provide feedback to agency to ensure that it adheres to brand and business needs at the time.
  • Work with 3rd parties (agencies, partners and stakeholders) to roll-out global brand and destination campaigns in different markets.
  • Develop real-time marketing content based on monitoring social media, flagging opportunities, and formulating campaigns with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide consultation to HR/Talent Acquisition team on employer branding and talent acquisition campaign.   

 

Community Management

  • Manage a team of local community managers across different pages, platforms and languages.
  • Develop contest/campaign FAQs for customer care team and local community managers to optimize management of customer servicing issues that are submitted via Social Media channels.
  • Weekly check-ins to brief and guide local community managers on always-on content and campaign coordination.

 

Campaign Analysis

  • Provide post campaign analysis and recommendations.
  • Provide reports/insights on Social Media feedback and 3rd party social media tools (analytical & listening)
  • Monitor the competition and be aware of market changes and developments.
  • Prepare a bi-monthly social WIP report.

 

Brand/Social Campaign

  • Develop and plan in-house social media, brand and tactical campaign, ensuring high engagement levels, fan acquisition and conversions.
  • Good understanding of consumer journey in paid, owned and earned platforms.

 

Budget and social media operations

  • Manage own sub-section of departmental cost budget; or specific project budgets assigned, ensuring as low as possible.
  • Timely submission of accrual to finance team. 
  • Management of payment to local community managers and content creators.

 

KEY SKILLS

  • Fluent written, spoken and reading capability in English.
  • Strong copy writing skill
  • High energy, good sense of humour and not afraid to challenge status quo.
  • Able to multitask
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • High attention to detail
  • Highly motivated by success but a team player with strong people skills
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of working with people at all levels;
  • Highly IT literate

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of work experience in a Digital Marketing, eCommerce or high-volume environment within a fast moving product/service/industry.
  • Social media-savvy, strong understanding of user-generated content management, content marketing, social trends and brand management.
  • Proficiency in using social media analytic and listening tools such as Social Bakers, Hootsuite.
